Comments on Neil's work
"For the number of years that I have known the work of Neil Myers, I have been able to notice the evolution of his painting, in particular, his paintings of the West - I find in his search to paint the mountains, an affiliation with the landscapes of Provence and especially les Alpilles, that Van Gogh painted majestically -- Too bad for Neil that Provence is so far from where he lives..."

"With a Fauvist's brilliant sense of color, Myers reinterprets the Southwest with a more European sensibility."

*Note from Neil: This guy is one of the best songwriters I've ever heard.  A real poet with a guitar.  He's already been featured on NPR, and I urge everyone to check out his music, especially the CD "The Devil on a Bench in Stanley Park" and his most recent release "Man Descending".

"I was first introduced to Neil Myers and his wonderful paintings about 3 years ago.  I recieved one of the most beautiful, well written letters I have ever recieved actually.  As it turned out, the gifted writer was also a brilliant painter!!!

I am most drawn and inspired to the playful interpretation of colors and the state of reverie that Neil's paintings throw the viewer into.  His paintings evoke a sense of freedom and bliss, all woven into his contemporary flare of capturing the West.

Some day I hope to positively alter the "Feng Shui' ness" of my living room, by proudly displaying a Neil Myers painting!!

Deanna Johnston

*Check out Deanna's new EP which is available through her website.  Deanna is one of the most exciting female singers in the country today.  I first saw her on Rockstar INXS in 2005, and I still remember the chills her voice gave me!  You ought to hear what Dave Navarro called "The Voice of a Lion..."
